People will be able to connect their own clinical records to Healist.AI, with their consent and with cited safety checks built in
BALTIMORE, Nov. 5, 2026 — Pivotal Technologies, maker of the AI-powered health app Healist.AI, today announced a partnership with b.well Connected Health, which provides the infrastructure powering AI-driven consumer health experiences. Healist.AI users will be able to connect their complete health records directly into the app, giving them a full picture of their own health alongside the wearable data they track.
Healist.AI helps people manage nutrition, fitness, and medications, using their health history and data from their wearables and connected devices. Through the b.well partnership, users will be able to add their full health history to that picture: their conditions, medications, lab results, allergies, and immunizations. There will be no separate portals to log into and no records to hunt down. People will do it all in Healist.AI.
A Healist.AI user will be able to verify their identity, and b.well will look across its network of 2.4 million providers, 350 health plans, hundreds of personal health devices, and more, to find where they've received care. b.well will pull that data and run it through its 13-step data refinery to make it usable, delivering a complete health record that follows the user over time and stays current as new information arrives.
Trust is the foundation of the partnership. Healist.AI protects health data to HIPAA security standards and encrypts it in transit and at rest. People choose what to connect and can disconnect at any time. Healist.AI's safety checks use fixed, published rules drawn from sources such as FDA drug labeling and medical society guidelines, so the same inputs always give the same answer. Every food suggestion Healist.AI generates is checked against the person's full health profile before they see it. The most serious conflicts are taken out. Others are shown with a clear warning and the source behind it.
"People are being asked to trust AI with their health, and that trust has to be earned. A chat that forgets you when it ends can't earn it. Healist.AI is built to be a permanent health assistant: it builds and maintains your complete Unified Health Context (UHC), checks its suggestions against published safety rules, and shows you its sources. b.well provides Healist.AI your real records to work from, with your consent. Healist.AI informs conversations with your clinicians. It does not replace them," said Vincent Cirel, Founder and CEO, Pivotal Technologies.
"The safety of an AI health assistant depends on what it knows about the person it is advising. A rule that screens out wheat-based recipes cannot protect someone whose celiac diagnosis never reached the app, and a medication check cannot catch a conflict with a prescription it has never seen," said Kristen Valdes, Founder and CEO, b.well Connected Health. "Healist.AI has built clinical safeguards into every recommendation, and our job is to make sure those safeguards work from a person's complete and current history, gathered with their consent and refined so it can be relied upon. We believe this should be the standard for every consumer AI health experience, and we are proud to partner with Pivotal Technologies to put it into practice."
With connected records, Healist.AI users will get:
- A permanent health assistant. Healist.AI keeps a person's health picture over time, not just for one conversation. As new records arrive, it updates with them, so it works from an up-to-date picture instead of a one-time snapshot.
- Meal plans built around their health. For someone with celiac disease, Healist.AI screens gluten out of the meals and recipes it creates. For someone with kidney disease, it flags foods high in potassium or phosphorus.
- Food and medication checks. Healist.AI checks meals, recipes, and pantry items against a person's medications. It flags known food–drug interactions, explains why, and links to the source, such as the FDA drug label.
- Support for diabetes and weight goals. Health history and glucose readings from connected devices help shape meal plans and track progress.
- Answers that show their sources. Recommendations explain why they were made and cite the published sources behind them, such as FDA drug labels and medical society guidelines, so people can review them with their clinicians.
Healist.AI is a wellness and education service. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
